How to Read SIYE Stories Offline on a Flight

Download the complete Sink Into Your Eyes story before your flight, save it as an EPUB or PDF, and check that it opens on the device you plan to use. Once the file is on your device, you can read it without an internet connection.

Download the SIYE story before your flight

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install.

1. Open the SIYE downloader.
2. Copy the story address from siye.co.uk. A SIYE story link looks like this:

3. Paste the story link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF. EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file to your device.

Download the file while you still have a reliable connection. After the EPUB or PDF is saved on your device, you can open it without internet access.

Choose a format and reading app

EPUB works with ebook reading apps and can be delivered to Kindle through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service.

You can also download the story as a PDF and open it in a PDF reader. WP Downloader does not produce MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Open the file once before your trip to make sure it downloaded and your device can read it.

Read on a phone or tablet

Download the EPUB or PDF to your phone or tablet and open it in a compatible reading app. Make sure the file is stored on the device instead of left open in an online browser tab.

Before your flight:

1. Find the downloaded story on your device.
2. Open it in your EPUB or PDF reading app.
3. Check that the story text appears correctly.
4. Turn on airplane mode.
5. Close and reopen the book to make sure it is available offline.

If the file does not open in airplane mode, you can download it again while you still have an internet connection.

Read on a Kindle

WP Downloader does not create MOBI files, and Amazon’s Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI. Send the EPUB file instead. Amazon also accepts PDF files.

Send to Kindle needs an internet connection to deliver the book, so complete this step before your flight. You can email the file to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address, use the Send to Kindle app, or upload it on the web. Files sent by email must come from an approved sender address.

Amazon converts the EPUB, then adds the book to your Kindle library. It will appear on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app. Open or download it on the device you are taking and test it in airplane mode.

Read on another ebook device

If you use a Kobo, download the EPUB and follow the guide to reading SIYE stories on Kobo.

For another device, make sure it can open the format you chose. Transfer or download the file while you are online, open it once, and test it in airplane mode before leaving.

Preflight reading checklist

Before you leave, check that:

• You downloaded the complete SIYE story as an EPUB or PDF.
• The file is saved on the device you are taking.
• Your reading app opens the file.
• Kindle delivery has finished if you used Send to Kindle.
• The story still opens in airplane mode.
