Read SciFiStories Stories in KOReader
You can read a SciFiStories story offline in KOReader by downloading the complete story as an EPUB, copying it to your device, and opening it from KOReader’s file browser.
What you need
Before you start, you need:
- A SciFiStories account
- The link to the story
- A device running KOReader
- A way to copy files to that device
KOReader is a free, open-source reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles and can open EPUB and PDF files. EPUB is a convenient choice for a text-based story.
Installing KOReader on a Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process. This guide assumes that you already have it installed.
Step 1: Copy the SciFiStories story link
Open the story on scifistories.com and copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. It should look like this:

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the SciFiStories downloader. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Paste the story URL into the box and sign in with your SciFiStories account. WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested.
The downloader can access only the material that your account can already read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Choose whether to include the story’s images, then select a file format:
- EPUB is free for everyone and opens in KOReader.
- PDF also opens in KOReader, but it requires a free Discord sign-in.
WP Downloader does not produce MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. Choose EPUB for the steps in this guide.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device
After the EPUB downloads, copy it to the device where you use KOReader.
Kobo or PocketBook
Connect the e-reader to your computer with USB. Copy the EPUB to a folder you can find later, then disconnect the device normally.

Android
Copy the EPUB to your Android phone or tablet using your usual file-transfer method. If you connect the device to a computer, use Android file transfer and place the EPUB in a folder you can find from KOReader.
Jailbroken Kindle
KOReader runs on Kindles that have been jailbroken. Copy the EPUB to the Kindle as usual, then locate it in KOReader.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader
Open KOReader and use its file browser to find the folder containing the EPUB. Select the file to start reading.
The story remains on your device for offline reading. If new chapters are published, download the story again and copy the new file to your device. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB.
