Download a Missing Pieces story

Missing Pieces is the Pretender Centre’s English-language story archive. A story link looks like this:

1. Open the story on pretendercentre.com.
2. Copy its full address from your browser’s address bar.
3. Go to the Pretender Centre downloader.

Choose EPUB or PDF

Boox e-readers run Android and can open EPUB and PDF files. Both formats work in the built-in reader and can be stored on the device for offline reading.

EPUB is free and also works with compatible Android reading apps installed on your Boox. PDF is available with a free Discord sign-in.

You can include the story’s images in either format by enabling the image option before downloading.

Transfer the story with USB

You can copy the downloaded file from a computer to your Boox over USB.

1. Connect your Boox to the computer with USB.
2. Open the Boox storage on the computer.
3. Copy the EPUB or PDF file to the device.
4. Disconnect the Boox after the transfer finishes.
5. Find the file on your Boox and open it in the built-in reader or another compatible Android reading app.

Once the file is on your Boox, you can read it without returning to the Pretender Centre website.

Open the story from Google Drive

You can also move the file through Google Drive.

1. Download the story from WP Downloader to your phone or computer.
2. Add the EPUB or PDF file to Google Drive.
3. Open Google Drive on your Boox.
4. Find and open the story file.
5. If prompted, choose the built-in reader or another installed Android reading app.

This method works when the file is already on your phone or you do not want to connect your Boox to a computer.

Download new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. When the story has new chapters, return to the Pretender Centre downloader, paste the link again, and download a new copy of the whole story.

Save the new file to your Boox. You can remove the older copy if you no longer need it.
