How to Read a Potions and Snitches Story on PocketBook

To read a Potions and Snitches story on a PocketBook e-reader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader. You can then transfer the file to your reader by email or USB. WP Downloader is free, runs in your browser, and does not need to be installed.

Download the story as an EPUB

Open the Potions and Snitches downloader. In another browser tab, find the story on potionsandsnitches.org or potionsandsnitches.net and copy the address of its story page.

The link should look similar to this:

Paste the link into WP Downloader, which will detect the site automatically. You do not need to sign in to Potions and Snitches.

Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works on PocketBook e-readers. PocketBook also reads PDF, but downloading a PDF from WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.

Select the option to include images if you want the story’s images in the book. Download the finished EPUB and save it somewhere easy to find, such as the Downloads folder on your phone or computer.

For Potions and Snitches, WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a story list. The Potions and Snitches download guide covers the download process in more detail.

Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook

Send-to-PocketBook gives your e-reader its own email address. After setting it up, you can send the EPUB to that address as an email attachment.

Set up Send-to-PocketBook

On your PocketBook e-reader:

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and synchronization.
3. Select Send-to-PocketBook.
4. Sign in and follow the activation process.
5. Open the activation email you receive.

After activation, you will receive a personal PocketBook address ending in @pbsync.com.

Email the story to your reader

Open your email app on the phone or computer where you saved the EPUB. Create a message addressed to your @pbsync.com address, attach the EPUB, and send it.

PocketBook may ask you to add the sending address to its approved list. If it does, whitelist the email account you used to send the file.

Sync your PocketBook e-reader. When the transfer finishes, open the EPUB on the reader.

Copy the story over USB

You can also transfer the EPUB from a computer with a USB connection:

1. Connect the PocketBook e-reader to the computer with USB.
2. Open the PocketBook’s storage on the computer.
3. Copy the downloaded EPUB onto the device.
4. Finish the transfer and disconnect the reader.

The EPUB will then be available on your PocketBook. USB is useful if you do not want to set up Send-to-PocketBook or an emailed file has not appeared.

Getting newly published chapters

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the author updates the story, return to the Potions and Snitches downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy.

Transfer the new EPUB to your PocketBook with Send-to-PocketBook or USB. That copy will contain the chapters available when you downloaded it again.
