How to Read a Potions and Snitches Story on Android
You can read a Potions and Snitches story on Android by downloading it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and opening it in an EPUB reader such as Google Play Books or Moon+ Reader. After saving the file, you can read it without returning to the story website.
Download the story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install. It supports stories from potionsandsnitches.org and potionsandsnitches.net without requiring you to sign in.
Find the story on Potions and Snitches. Its address should look like this:
https://potionsandsnitches.org/fanfiction/viewstory.php?sid=1234Copy the story address from your browser, then:
- Open the Potions and Snitches downloader.
- Paste the story link into the box.
- Choose EPUB or PDF.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the file to your Android device.
EPUB is free for everyone and works with ebook apps such as Google Play Books and Moon+ Reader. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
For Potions and Snitches, WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories. Support for the archive was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.

Open the EPUB on your Android phone or tablet
Once the EPUB has downloaded, open it in an app that supports EPUB files. Google Play Books and Moon+ Reader are two options.
Read with Google Play Books
Google Play Books accepts DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. You can read uploaded books on Android, iPhone, iPad, or the web.
There are two ways to upload the story:
- Use the Google Play Books website to upload it from your computer or Google Drive.
- Upload it from the Google Play Books Android app.
After the upload finishes, open the story in Google Play Books on your Android phone or tablet. The uploaded file will also be available on your other supported devices.
Very large stories may reach Google’s upload size limit. If this happens, open the EPUB in another Android reader.
Read with Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files directly on Android. Download the story as an EPUB, then open the file in the app.
Moon+ Reader also has a built-in text-to-speech mode for listening to the story.
Listen to the story on Android
You can have your Android device read the story aloud in several ways:
- Turn on Select to Speak under Settings, then Accessibility. Tap an item on the screen to hear it read aloud.
- Open the EPUB in Moon+ Reader and use its built-in text-to-speech mode.
- Open the EPUB in @Voice Aloud Reader.
All three options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device. How natural the reading sounds depends on the voices available in your Android settings.
Getting new chapters later
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the author updates the story, return to the Potions and Snitches downloader, paste the link again, and download a new copy.
The new file will contain the version of the story available at the time of the download. Open it in your Android reading app to read the added chapters.
