How to read Nine Lives Archive stories on a PocketBook

Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook

Send-to-PocketBook gives your reader a personal email address. Once you activate it, you can email the EPUB to that address and sync your device.

Set up Send-to-PocketBook

On your PocketBook reader:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Accounts and synchronization.
3. Select Send-to-PocketBook.
4. Sign in and follow the setup instructions.
5. Open the activation email.
6. Complete the activation and note your personal email address ending in @pbsync.com.

You need to set up the service only once. Save the address for future transfers.

Email the story to your reader

After downloading the EPUB:

1. Open your usual email service.
2. Start a new email from your approved sending address.
3. Send it to your personal @pbsync.com address.
4. Attach the Nine Lives Archive EPUB.
5. Send the email.
6. Sync your PocketBook reader.

The story will appear on the reader after it syncs, ready to read offline.

If the file does not arrive, make sure your sending address is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist it before accepting the attachment. Approve the address, send the EPUB again, and sync the reader.

Transfer the story over USB

You can use USB instead of Send-to-PocketBook.

1. Download the EPUB to your computer.
2. Connect the PocketBook reader to your computer with a USB cable.
3. Copy the EPUB to the reader.
4. Disconnect the device after the transfer finishes.
5. Find the story on your PocketBook and open it.

You can transfer a PDF from WP Downloader the same way. This method does not require a Send-to-PocketBook account or an email transfer.

Download new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB already stored on your PocketBook. When the author adds chapters, paste the Nine Lives Archive story URL into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.

Email or copy the new EPUB to your reader using the same method as before. The download is a new file, not an update to the earlier one.
