Read MTT Just Once Stories on a Barnes & Noble NOOK
To read an MTT Just Once story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. Barnes & Noble calls this “sideloading.” The story will then be available to read offline.
What you need
Have these ready:
- The MTT Just Once story open in your browser
- A computer
- Your NOOK GlowLight and its USB cable
- WP Downloader, a free web tool with nothing to install
MTT Just Once stories are hosted at mtt.just-once.net. A story address looks like this:

Step 1: Download the story
Open the MTT Just Once Downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will identify the archive from the URL.
Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works with the NOOK. You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.
Download the EPUB and save it somewhere you can easily find it, such as your computer’s Downloads folder.
You do not need an MTT Just Once account. WP Downloader downloads the complete story, so there is no need to process each chapter separately. This site does not support downloads of single chapters or story lists.

Step 2: Connect the NOOK
Connect your NOOK GlowLight to the computer with its USB cable.
On newer models, select the file transfer option:
- Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
- Tap “USB for charging.”
- Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”
The NOOK should appear on your computer as a drive named “NOOK.” If it does not appear, check the NOOK screen and make sure file transfer is selected.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB
Find the EPUB created by WP Downloader. Open the NOOK drive in your computer’s file browser, then drag the EPUB onto the device.
Wait for the copy to finish. Before unplugging the cable, eject the NOOK using your computer’s usual eject option.
The EPUB is now stored on your NOOK and ready for offline reading.
Getting newer chapters
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB that is already on your NOOK. If the author publishes more chapters, submit the story link to the downloader again.
This gives you a new EPUB containing the current version of the story. Copy it to your NOOK using the same USB steps.
