How to Read Midnight Whispers Stories on a NOOK
To read a Midnight Whispers story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. You do not need a Midnight Whispers account.
What you need
Have these ready:

Midnight Whispers stories are hosted on midnightwhispers.net and midnightwhispers.ca. A story link looks like this:

Step 1: Download the EPUB
Open the Midnight Whispers downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader recognizes the site from the URL and prepares the story.
Select EPUB, which is free for everyone and works on your NOOK. You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.

Step 2: Connect your NOOK
Connect your NOOK GlowLight to the computer with a USB cable. It should appear as a drive named “NOOK.”
On newer NOOK models, change the USB setting if the computer cannot access the device:
- Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
- Tap “USB for charging.”
- Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”
Your computer should then show the NOOK as a connected device.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB
Find the EPUB you downloaded and drag it onto the NOOK drive. Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.”
Wait until the transfer finishes before disconnecting the cable. You can keep the original EPUB on your computer as a backup.
Step 4: Eject the NOOK
Eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging its USB cable. Once disconnected, the Midnight Whispers story is ready to read on the device without visiting the story website.
Downloading newly posted chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. If the author posts more chapters, return to the Midnight Whispers downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy of the whole story.
