Download the story

Choose a file format

Choose EPUB for an ebook app or e-reader. You can also send an EPUB to a Kindle through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service.

Choose PDF if you plan to use a PDF reader. WP Downloader does not make MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. Kindle users do not need a MOBI file because Send to Kindle accepts EPUB and PDF. It no longer accepts MOBI.

Download the file while you still have internet access. After it is saved on your device, you can open it offline.

Put the story on your device

Phone or tablet

Download the EPUB or PDF directly to the phone or tablet you will take with you. Before leaving, open it in an ebook or PDF-reading app.

Seeing the file in your browser’s download list is not enough to confirm it is ready. Open the book and check that the story appears. If it opens correctly, you can read it without a connection.

Kindle e-reader or Kindle app

Download the EPUB or PDF, then use Amazon’s Send to Kindle service before your flight. You can send the file through:

The Send to Kindle app
Send to Kindle on the web

Amazon converts EPUB files and adds them to your Kindle library. The book can then appear on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app. Delivery needs an internet connection, so send the file before boarding.

After delivery, open the story on the Kindle or in the Kindle app you will use during the flight. This confirms that the book has reached that device.

Kobo

Choose EPUB, download the story, and put it on your Kobo before leaving. The Library of Moria Kobo guide has the device-specific steps.

Open the book before your trip to check that it is ready.

Check it in airplane mode

Test the story offline before takeoff:

Finish downloading or sending the story.
Open it in your chosen app or on your e-reader.
Turn on airplane mode.
Close and reopen the story.
Check that the text is available without Wi-Fi.

If the story does not open, reconnect to the internet and check that the EPUB or PDF was saved or delivered to the device.
