Read Library of Moria Stories in KOReader

To read a Library of Moria story in KOReader, download the whole story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, copy the file to your device, and open it from KOReader’s file browser. The English-language story will then be available for offline reading.

KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. Installation on Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process, so this guide assumes KOReader is already available on your device.

Step 1: Copy the Library of Moria story link

Open the story on libraryofmoria.com and copy its full address from your browser. A Library of Moria story URL looks like this:

Copy the story page, rather than an archive or category page. WP Downloader handles whole Library of Moria stories. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from this site.

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader

Open the Library of Moria downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the story for download.

Choose EPUB for KOReader. It is free for everyone and works well for text that adjusts to your screen. WP Downloader also offers PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in. KOReader can open either format.

You can choose whether to include the story’s images. Set your options, then download the file to your phone or computer.

You do not need to sign in to Library of Moria for public stories. For a members-only story, you can sign in with your Library of Moria account so WP Downloader can fetch content that account is allowed to read. It uses your credentials only to retrieve the story you requested. It cannot bypass membership restrictions, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Library of Moria support, along with support for the other fiction archives available through WP Downloader, was ported from the open-source fanfiction downloader FanFicFare.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device

Move the downloaded EPUB to the device where you use KOReader.

For a Kobo or PocketBook, connect the e-reader to your computer with USB. Copy the EPUB into a folder you can find later. On Android, use your usual file-transfer method and place the EPUB in an accessible folder, such as Books or Downloads.

If you use KOReader on a jailbroken Kindle, transfer the EPUB as you would any other document. KOReader installation on Kindle is unofficial and requires a jailbroken device.

You do not need to convert the file to MOBI or AZW3 because KOReader opens EPUB directly. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader

Open KOReader and use its file browser to find the folder containing the EPUB. Select the file to start reading.

The downloaded story is stored on your device, so you can read it without opening Library of Moria in a browser. If you chose PDF instead, copy it to the device and open it through KOReader’s file browser in the same way.

Downloading new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. When a Library of Moria story changes, return to the Library of Moria downloader, paste the link again, and download a new copy.

Transfer the new EPUB to your device and open it in KOReader.
