How to Read GoodNovel Stories on a Barnes & Noble NOOK

To read a GoodNovel story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download its free chapters as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download the GoodNovel story as an EPUB

Find the story on goodnovel.com. Its address should look like this:

Copy the complete story link, then:

1. Open the GoodNovel Downloader.
2. Paste the GoodNovel story link into the box.
3. Wait while WP Downloader detects the site and collects the available chapters.

5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the EPUB to your device.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. You do not need to sign in to GoodNovel or WP Downloader.

Copy the EPUB to your NOOK

Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.” On a NOOK GlowLight, connect the device to a computer over USB and drag the EPUB onto it.

Connect your NOOK to the computer

Connect the NOOK GlowLight to your computer with a USB cable. It should appear as a drive named “NOOK.”

On newer models, change the USB setting so the computer can access the device:

1. Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
2. Tap “USB for charging.”
3. Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”

You should then be able to browse the files on the NOOK from your computer.

Transfer the GoodNovel EPUB

Find the EPUB created by WP Downloader and drag it onto the NOOK drive. Allow the transfer to finish before disconnecting the device.

The EPUB contains the available GoodNovel chapters, so you can read them without an internet connection.

Eject the NOOK

Eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the USB cable. The transferred EPUB will then be ready to open on the device.

Download newly released chapters

An EPUB contains the free chapters available when you download it. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to a file already stored on your NOOK.

To get newer chapters:

1. Return to the GoodNovel Downloader.
2. Paste the story link into the box again.
3. Download a new EPUB.
4. Copy the new file to your NOOK over USB.
5. Eject the NOOK before unplugging it.

The new EPUB will include the chapters that are free at the time of the download. Any chapters that still require payment will be left out.

Choose EPUB for your NOOK
