Read Fanfictions.fr Stories on a PocketBook

WP Downloader can save a complete Fanfictions.fr story as an EPUB or PDF for your PocketBook. The free tool runs in your browser, so you do not need to install anything.

What you need

Have these ready:

• A phone or computer with a web browser
• Your PocketBook e-reader

Fanfictions.fr stories are in French. You do not need to sign in to Fanfictions.fr to download one.

Step 1: Copy the Fanfictions.fr story link

Open the story on fanfictions.fr and copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. Story links follow this general pattern:

https://www.fanfictions.fr/fanfictions/fandom/fanfiction-id/chapters.html

Copy the chapters page URL. WP Downloader downloads the whole story from Fanfictions.fr and does not support individual chapters or lists from this site.

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader

Open the Fanfictions.fr downloader, then paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the story.

Choose a format:

• EPUB is free for everyone and works on PocketBook e-readers.
• PDF also works on PocketBook, but requires a free Discord sign-in.

You can choose whether to include the story’s images. When the download is ready, save the file somewhere easy to find, such as your Downloads folder.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. PocketBook reads EPUB and PDF, so you will not need those other formats here.

Step 3: Set up Send-to-PocketBook

Send-to-PocketBook gives your reader a personal email address ending in @pbsync.com. You can send the downloaded story to this address and sync your PocketBook to receive it.

On your PocketBook:

1. Open Settings.
2. Open Accounts and synchronization.
3. Select Send-to-PocketBook.
4. Sign in and follow the setup instructions.
5. Open the activation email and activate the service.
6. Save your personal Send-to-PocketBook address ending in @pbsync.com.

You only need to activate the service during setup. You can use the same address for future books.

Step 4: Email the story to your PocketBook

Create an email from your usual account and send it to your personal @pbsync.com address. Attach the EPUB or PDF from WP Downloader.

Sync your PocketBook to receive the file. Once the sync finishes, you can open the story on the reader.

If the file does not arrive, check whether your sending address is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist the address. After approving it, send the attachment again and sync the reader.

Another option: transfer the file over USB

You can copy the story from a computer instead:

1. Connect the PocketBook to your computer with a USB cable.
2. Open the PocketBook’s storage on the computer.
3. Copy the EPUB or PDF to the reader.
4. Safely disconnect the PocketBook.
5. Find the story on the device and open it.

USB is a useful option if you do not want to set up Send-to-PocketBook or the emailed file has not appeared.

Getting new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. If the author publishes more chapters, return to the Fanfictions.fr downloader and download the complete story again.

Send or copy the new file to your PocketBook. It will contain the story as it was when you downloaded it again.
