How to Read EFP Fanfic Stories on a Kobo E-Reader

Kobo e-readers open EPUB files without conversion. You can download a complete EFP Fanfic story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, then copy it to your Kobo.

Download the story as an EPUB

WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. It can save a story from efpfanfic.net as a file for offline reading.

An EFP Fanfic story link usually looks like this:

1. Open the EFP Fanfic downloader.
2. Copy the story URL from efpfanfic.net.
3. Paste the URL into the box. WP Downloader will detect the site automatically.
4. Choose EPUB as the output format.
5. If you want the story’s images in the book, turn on the option to include them.
6. Download the EPUB.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF after a free Discord sign-in, but EPUB is the better choice here because Kobo supports it directly.

For EFP Fanfic, WP Downloader saves the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list. If the author publishes more chapters later, download the story again to create a new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot add those chapters to an EPUB you already have.

You do not need to sign in for public stories. Signing in with your EFP Fanfic account is optional and allows WP Downloader to fetch members-only stories your account can read. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you request. The tool cannot bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.

Copy the EPUB to your Kobo by USB

USB transfer works by copying the EPUB from your computer to the Kobo.

1. Connect your Kobo to your computer with a USB cable.
2. Wait for the Kobo to appear as a drive.
3. Open the Kobo drive.
4. Copy the downloaded EPUB onto it.
5. Safely eject the Kobo.
6. Disconnect the cable.

The story will appear in your Kobo library. You can open it like any other EPUB and read it offline. EFP Fanfic stories are written in Italian.

Add the EPUB through Dropbox

Dropbox transfers are available on the Kobo Forma, Kobo Sage, Kobo Elipsa, Kobo Elipsa 2E, and Kobo Libra Colour. The e-reader must be running software version 4.18 or later.

Link your Dropbox account from the Kobo, place the EPUB in the connected cloud folder, and sync the e-reader. The story will then appear in the library on that Kobo.

Books transferred through Dropbox appear only on the device where they were added.

Add the EPUB through Google Drive

Google Drive transfers work on the Kobo Forma, Kobo Sage, Kobo Elipsa, Kobo Elipsa 2E, and Kobo Libra Colour. This option requires software version 4.37 or later.

1. From the Kobo Home screen, open “More.”
2. Select “My Google Drive.”
3. Choose “Get Started.”
4. Note the code displayed on the e-reader.
5. Follow the instructions to enter the code on the Kobo website.
6. Put the EPUB in the connected Google Drive folder.
7. Sync the Kobo.

After the sync, the story will appear on that Kobo. Books added through Google Drive are available only on the device where they were added.

If your Kobo does not support Dropbox or Google Drive transfers, use a USB cable.

Update the story on your Kobo

The EPUB contains the version of the story that was available when you downloaded it. New chapters will not be added automatically.

To get an updated copy, return to WP Downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new EPUB. Transfer the new file to your Kobo by USB, Dropbox, or Google Drive.
