Read a Dokuga Story on a reMarkable Tablet
To read a Dokuga story on a reMarkable tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader. You can then transfer the file with the reMarkable app, a web browser, or a USB cable and read it offline.
Download a Dokuga story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. Open the Dokuga downloader and copy the story URL from your browser. It should look like this:
http://www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/1234/1 Paste the link into WP Downloader. The tool detects that the story is from Dokuga and lets you download the complete story in either format:
- EPUB, free for everyone
- PDF, available with a free Discord sign-in
Both formats work on reMarkable tablets. To keep artwork or other images from the story, select the option to include images before downloading.
Dokuga downloads contain the whole story. WP Downloader does not download individual chapters or story lists from this site. If the author publishes more chapters later, download the story again. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have.
For more help with downloading, see how to download Dokuga stories.
Download members-only stories
Public Dokuga stories do not require an account. You can sign in with your Dokuga account through WP Downloader to reach members-only stories that your account can read.
WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you request. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Dokuga support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.
Transfer the EPUB or PDF to your reMarkable
Find the EPUB or PDF in your device’s downloads folder. reMarkable accepts both file types up to 100 MB.
You can transfer the story with the mobile or desktop app, through a web browser, or over USB.
Use the reMarkable mobile or desktop app
Open the reMarkable app on your phone or computer and add the EPUB or PDF you downloaded. The story will appear with your other reMarkable files.
If you downloaded the story on your phone, you can add it through the mobile app without moving it to a computer first.
Upload it through a web browser
Open reMarkable’s browser-based file transfer service, choose the downloaded EPUB or PDF, and upload it to your library.
This method is useful when the file is already on your computer and you do not want to use the desktop app.
Transfer it over USB
Connect the reMarkable tablet to your computer with a USB cable. On the tablet, turn on the USB web interface in the storage settings. The exact settings path varies between software versions.
Once the interface is enabled, open this address in a browser on the connected computer:
10.11.99.1 Use the page to upload the EPUB or PDF to the tablet.
Read the story offline
After transferring the file, find the story in your reMarkable library and open it as you would any other supported document. The EPUB or PDF contains the whole story, so you can read it without returning to Dokuga for each chapter.
Keep the original file if you may want to transfer it again. When the story gets new chapters, download a fresh copy with WP Downloader and add the new file to your tablet.
