How to Read Dokuga Stories Offline on a Flight

Download your Dokuga story before you leave, save the EPUB or PDF on the device you will use, and check that the book opens in airplane mode. Once the file is stored on your device, you can read it without an internet connection.

Download the story before your flight

WP Downloader is a free web tool and does not require an installation. While you still have internet access:

1. Open the Dokuga downloader.
2. Copy the Dokuga story URL from your browser. It should look similar to this:

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF. EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
5. Decide whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the finished file to your device.

WP Downloader saves the whole Dokuga story, even when the link points to one of its chapters. It does not download individual chapters or lists.

You can download public stories without signing in to Dokuga. Signing in lets WP Downloader reach members-only stories that your Dokuga account can already read. Your account credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader does not bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.

Choose a file format

Pick the format that suits your device:

• EPUB works with EPUB reading apps, Kindle delivery, and Kobo.
• PDF works with apps that open fixed-page documents.
• WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

If the author adds chapters later, download the story again. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Read on a phone or tablet

Download the EPUB or PDF directly to your phone or tablet while you have Wi-Fi or mobile data, then open it in an app that supports the file format.

Before you leave:

1. Check that the download finished.
2. Open the file in your reading app.
3. Turn on airplane mode.
4. Close the book and open it again.

Some apps can display a book before the complete file is stored locally. Testing it in airplane mode gives you time to fix the download before the flight.

Read on a Kindle

Amazon’s Send to Kindle accepts EPUB and PDF files. You can send the file by email to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address, with the Send to Kindle app, or through Send to Kindle on the web.

Amazon converts the EPUB during delivery. The book then appears in your Kindle library on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app.

Send the file before your flight because delivery requires an internet connection. When sending it by email, use an approved sender email address. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files, so send the EPUB from WP Downloader.

After the book appears in your library, open it on the Kindle or in the Kindle app before turning on airplane mode. This checks that it has reached the device you plan to carry.

Read on a Kobo

Download the EPUB before leaving and make sure it is available on the Kobo you will use. The Dokuga on Kobo guide explains the device-specific steps.

Turn on airplane mode and open the story before your trip. If it opens during the test, it is stored on the device and ready to read offline.

Before heading to the airport, check that:

• You downloaded the whole Dokuga story.
• You chose EPUB or PDF for your reading app or device.
• The file is stored on the device you are taking.
• Kindle delivery has finished, if you used it.
• The story opens in airplane mode.
• You downloaded the story again if you need recently added chapters.
