Read Ashwinder Stories in KOReader
To read an Ashwinder story in KOReader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your device. You can then open it from KOReader’s file browser and read without keeping the Ashwinder page open.
What you need
Before you start, have these ready:
- The Ashwinder story page in your browser
- WP Downloader, a free web tool that requires no installation
- A device running KOReader
- A way to copy the downloaded file to that device
KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. It can open EPUB and PDF files. EPUB is the simpler option here because WP Downloader provides it free to everyone.
Step 1: Copy the Ashwinder story link
Open the story on ashwinder.sycophanthex.com and copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. Ashwinder story links look like this:

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the Ashwinder downloader, then paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will identify the site and prepare the story.
Choose EPUB as the output format. If you want the book to contain the story’s images, select the option to include them.
EPUB is free for everyone. You can also create a PDF after signing in with Discord for free. WP Downloader does not produce MOBI, AZW3 or TXT files.
You do not need an Ashwinder account for public stories. You can sign in with an account from that site if you want to download members-only stories that the account can already read. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested.
The downloader cannot bypass locked content, account restrictions or age restrictions. It downloads only the material your account can access.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device
When the download is complete, find the EPUB on your phone or computer. How you copy it depends on the device where you use KOReader.
Kobo or PocketBook
Connect the e-reader to your computer with USB. Copy the EPUB to the folder where you normally keep books, then safely disconnect the device.
Open KOReader, find the EPUB with its file browser and select the file to begin reading.

Android
Download or move the EPUB to a folder that KOReader can reach. If the file is on your computer, copy it to the device with your usual Android file-transfer method.
Use KOReader’s file browser to find the folder, then select the EPUB.
Kindle
KOReader works only on jailbroken Kindles. Installing it is a separate, unofficial process, so it should already be working before you continue.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader
In KOReader, find the folder where you copied the EPUB and select the file. It will open like any other EPUB document.
Keep the downloaded file if you want a backup. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. If the Ashwinder story gains new chapters, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.
