Put Touch Fluffy Tail Stories on a Kindle With calibre

You can put a Touch Fluffy Tail story on a Kindle without Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, convert it to AZW3 in calibre, and transfer it to your Kindle over USB.

You will need a Windows, macOS, or Linux computer and a USB connection to your Kindle.

Download the story with WP Downloader

WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install. You do not need a Touch Fluffy Tail account.

Open the Touch Fluffy Tail downloader and copy the story URL from touchfluffytail.org. It should look like this:

Paste the link into WP Downloader, which will detect the site. Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

To add the story’s pictures to the book, select the option to include images before downloading.

WP Downloader downloads the whole story from Touch Fluffy Tail. It cannot download a single chapter or a story list. It only downloads content you are allowed to read and does not bypass locked material or age restrictions.

Add the EPUB to calibre

Open calibre and select “Add books.” Find the downloaded EPUB and add it to your calibre library.

Before converting the book, you can review or edit its metadata and cover. You can skip this step if everything looks right.

Calibre also includes an e-book viewer with a Read aloud feature. You can use it to check the EPUB on your computer before transferring the book to your Kindle.

Convert the EPUB to AZW3

WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files, but calibre can convert the EPUB.

Select the story in your calibre library and choose “Convert books.” Set the output format to AZW3, then start the conversion.

AZW3 is a Kindle format that works for transfers over USB. Calibre can also convert books to MOBI or PDF, though you only need the AZW3 version for this guide.

Amazon’s Send to Kindle service no longer accepts MOBI files. Kindle e-readers can still open MOBI and AZW3 files copied directly to the device over USB.

Connect the Kindle and transfer the story

Connect your Kindle e-reader to the computer with USB. Once calibre recognizes it, select the converted story and choose “Send to device.”

Calibre will transfer the book to the Kindle. After the transfer finishes, safely disconnect the device and look for the story in its library.

The process has three steps:

1. WP Downloader turns the Touch Fluffy Tail story into an EPUB.
2. Calibre converts the EPUB to AZW3.
3. Calibre sends the AZW3 file to the Kindle over USB.

The book does not pass through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service.

When to download the story again
