How to Put SIYE Stories on Kindle with calibre
You can put a Sink Into Your Eyes story on a Kindle without Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. First download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader. You can then use calibre to convert it to AZW3 and transfer it to your Kindle over USB.
You will need a computer and a Kindle e-reader that connects by USB. calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Step 1: Download the SIYE story as an EPUB
Open the story on siye.co.uk and copy its URL. A Sink Into Your Eyes story link looks like this:

Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and can be converted to a Kindle format with calibre. You can also choose to include the story’s images.
You do not need a Sink Into Your Eyes account. WP Downloader downloads whole SIYE stories, not individual chapters or story lists.
When the author adds new chapters, download the story again. WP Downloader does not update an EPUB you already have.

Step 2: Add the EPUB to calibre
Open calibre and select Add books. Find the SIYE EPUB you downloaded and add it to your calibre library.
You can edit the story’s metadata or cover before converting it, or leave the downloaded details unchanged.
calibre also has an e-book viewer. You can open the EPUB in the viewer to check the story before transferring it. The viewer includes a Read aloud feature for listening on your computer.
Step 3: Convert the EPUB to AZW3
Select the story in calibre and choose the option to convert the book. Set the output format to AZW3 and start the conversion.
WP Downloader does not create AZW3 or MOBI files. It provides the EPUB, which calibre can convert on your computer.
AZW3 is a Kindle format that works with USB transfers. Kindle e-readers can still open MOBI and AZW3 files copied over USB. Only Amazon’s Send to Kindle service has stopped accepting MOBI files.
Step 4: Connect your Kindle over USB
Connect your Kindle e-reader to the computer with a USB cable. Once calibre recognizes the device, select the converted story in your library and use Send to device.
calibre copies the AZW3 file to the connected Kindle. The story will then be available on the Kindle for offline reading without being uploaded through Send to Kindle.
USB transfer or Send to Kindle?
Both methods start with an EPUB downloaded through WP Downloader.
For a USB transfer, calibre stores the book in its library, converts the EPUB to AZW3, and sends the file directly to the connected Kindle. This method works well if you already manage your books in calibre or prefer a wired transfer.
