How to listen to MTT Just Once stories with text-to-speech
To listen to an MTT Just Once (The Office) story, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and open the file in a reading app that supports text-to-speech.
Download the story as an EPUB
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Open the MTT Just Once downloader, then copy the main URL of the story you want from mtt.just-once.net. The URL should look like this:
http://mtt.just-once.net/fanfiction/viewstory.php?sid=1234- Paste the story link into WP Downloader.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the EPUB.
You do not need to sign in to download MTT Just Once stories. WP Downloader downloads the whole story, not individual chapters or lists.
EPUB is free for everyone. You can also download a PDF after signing in with a free Discord account, but the reading apps in this guide use EPUB files.
If the author adds new chapters, download the story again to get an updated EPUB. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to a file you already downloaded.

Listen on an iPhone or iPad
Apple Books opens EPUB files and works with the built-in Speak Screen accessibility feature.
Turn on Speak Screen
- Open Settings.
- Go to Accessibility.
- Select Spoken Content.
- Turn on Speak Screen.
Open the EPUB in Apple Books. To have the page read aloud, swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen.
Speak Screen uses the text-to-speech voices installed on your device, so the available voice affects how natural the reading sounds.
Listen on an Android phone or tablet
You can use Android’s Select to Speak feature or an EPUB reader with its own read-aloud mode.
Use Select to Speak
Turn on Select to Speak in Settings, under Accessibility. Once enabled, you can tap items on the screen to hear them read aloud.
Use Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files and has a built-in text-to-speech mode. Open the downloaded EPUB in the app and start the read-aloud mode.
Use @Voice Aloud Reader
@Voice Aloud Reader also reads EPUB files aloud. Open the downloaded story in the app and use its reading controls.
These options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your Android device. The narration may sound different on another phone or tablet with different voices installed.
Listen on Windows, macOS, or Linux
Thorium Reader and calibre are two free desktop programs that can read EPUB files aloud.
Use Thorium Reader
Thorium Reader is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Open the EPUB and use the read-aloud feature.
Use calibre
Add the EPUB to calibre, open it in the e-book viewer, and select Read aloud.
Both programs use the text-to-speech voices installed on your computer.
