You can listen to a Lois & Clark Fanfic Archive story by downloading it as an EPUB, opening the file in a compatible reading app, and using the app or your device’s read-aloud feature.
WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install. You do not need an account to download stories from the Lois & Clark Fanfic Archive.
Download the story as an EPUB

- Open the Lois & Clark Fanfic Archive downloader.
- Paste the story link into the box.
- Wait for WP Downloader to detect the site and prepare the story.
- Choose EPUB as the output format.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.

Listen on an iPhone or iPad
Apple Books opens EPUB files, and iPhones and iPads have a feature called Speak Screen.
To turn it on:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Accessibility.
- Select Spoken Content.
- Turn on Speak Screen.
Open the downloaded EPUB in Apple Books. With the story on screen, swipe down from the top with two fingers to start reading it aloud.
Speak Screen uses the text-to-speech voices installed on your device, so the narration will sound different depending on which voices are available.
Listen on an Android device
You can listen with Moon+ Reader, @Voice Aloud Reader, or Android’s Select to Speak feature.
Use Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files and has a built-in text-to-speech mode. Open the downloaded story in the app and start its read-aloud mode.
Use @Voice Aloud Reader
@Voice Aloud Reader can read EPUB files aloud. Open or import the downloaded EPUB, then start playback.
Use Select to Speak
Select to Speak reads items on your screen. Open Settings, go to Accessibility, and turn on Select to Speak. Display the story on your screen, activate the feature, and tap the items you want it to read.
These options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your phone or tablet, so the available voices affect how the narration sounds.
Listen on Windows, macOS, or Linux
Thorium Reader and calibre can both read EPUB files aloud on a computer.
Thorium Reader
Thorium Reader is free and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Open the EPUB and use the read-aloud feature to listen to the story.
calibre
calibre is also free. Open the downloaded EPUB in calibre’s e-book viewer and use the Read aloud feature.
Both programs use your computer’s text-to-speech voices. The installed voices determine how the narration sounds.
Keep the EPUB for offline listening
After downloading the EPUB and opening it in a reading app, you can keep the story on your device for later reading or listening.
You can also send LCFanfic stories to Kindle or read LCFanfic stories on Kobo.
