How to Listen to Dokuga Stories with Text-to-Speech

Download the Dokuga story as an EPUB

WP Downloader downloads the whole Dokuga story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories. When the author publishes new chapters, download the story again to create an updated EPUB. An existing EPUB will not update automatically.

Listen on an iPhone or iPad

Open the downloaded EPUB in Apple Books, then set up Speak Screen:
- Open Settings.
- Select Accessibility.
- Select Spoken Content.
- Turn on Speak Screen.
- Return to the story in Apple Books.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers.
Your iPhone or iPad will start reading the page aloud. How natural it sounds depends on the text-to-speech voices installed on your device.
Listen on Android
You can use Android’s Select to Speak feature or an EPUB reading app with its own read-aloud mode.
Use Select to Speak
Open Settings, select Accessibility, and turn on Select to Speak. Once it is enabled, tap an item on the screen to hear it read aloud.

Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files and has a built-in text-to-speech mode. Open the Dokuga EPUB in the app and start its read-aloud mode.
Use @Voice Aloud Reader
@Voice Aloud Reader can read EPUB files aloud. Open the downloaded story in the app, then start reading from the part you want to hear.
Both apps use the text-to-speech voices installed on your Android device, so the narration will sound different depending on the available voices.
Listen on Windows, macOS, or Linux
On a computer, open the EPUB in a reader with a read-aloud feature.
Use Thorium Reader
Thorium Reader is free and available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Open the downloaded EPUB in Thorium Reader, then start its read-aloud feature.
Use calibre
calibre is another free desktop option. Add the EPUB to calibre, open it in the e-book viewer, and select the viewer’s Read aloud feature.
Thorium Reader and calibre use the text-to-speech voices installed on your computer. The available voices determine how natural the narration sounds.
Tips for offline listening
Download the EPUB before you go offline and save it somewhere easy to find. The story file stays on your device, so you can open it in your reading app and use text-to-speech without a connection.
