Do Tenhawk Presents Stories Count Toward Apple Books Reading Goals?

You can read downloaded Tenhawk Presents stories in Apple Books. PDFs count toward Reading Goals when Include PDFs is enabled. Apple does not say whether EPUB files imported from outside the Books Store count, so you will need to test the story on your device.

Download a Tenhawk Presents story

Go to the Tenhawk Presents downloader. WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything.

Copy the address of the story from t.evancurrie.ca. It should look like this:

http://t.evancurrie.ca/viewstory.php?sid=1234

Paste the link into WP Downloader. It will recognize the site and download the complete story. For Tenhawk Presents, it cannot download an individual chapter or a list of stories.

You can download the story in these formats:

• EPUB is free for everyone and works well in Apple Books.
• PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
• Either format can include the story’s images.

Signing in with your Tenhawk Presents account is optional. It can give WP Downloader access to members-only stories that your account is allowed to read. WP Downloader does not bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions. It uses your credentials only to retrieve the story you requested.

WP Downloader’s support for Tenhawk Presents and its other fiction archives was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.

Download the story again if new chapters are added. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you already have.

Add the story to Apple Books

Apple Books opens EPUB and PDF files on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Imported files appear in your Library.

On iPhone or iPad

1. Open the Files app or Safari’s downloads.
2. Find the downloaded EPUB or PDF.
3. Tap Share.
4. Choose Books.

Apple Books will add the story to your Library.

On Mac

Open the Books app and drag the EPUB into it. You can also choose File, then Add to Library, and select the EPUB.

The story will appear in your Apple Books Library.

How Apple Books Reading Goals work

Reading Goals track how many minutes you read each day and how many books and audiobooks you finish each year.

The daily goal is five minutes by default. You can change it from the Reading Now tab on an iPhone or iPad, or from Home on a Mac.

A file appearing in your Apple Books Library does not confirm that time spent reading it will count toward the daily goal.

Check whether an imported EPUB counts

Apple’s documentation does not say whether EPUB files you import yourself count toward daily reading time. Check the behavior on your device:

1. Note today’s reading time in Apple Books.
2. Open the imported Tenhawk Presents EPUB.
3. Read for a minute or two.
4. Return to your Reading Goal.
5. See whether today’s reading time has increased.

If the total does not change immediately, read a little longer and check again.

Make a Tenhawk Presents PDF count

PDF reading counts toward the daily Reading Goal only when Include PDFs is turned on.

On current versions of iOS:

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Apps.
3. Choose Books.
4. Turn on Include PDFs.

On older versions, open Settings, choose Books, and turn on Include PDFs.

After enabling the setting, open the Tenhawk Presents PDF in Apple Books and read for a minute or two. Then check whether your daily reading time has increased.

Is EPUB or PDF better for Apple Books?

Apple Books opens both formats. EPUB is free through WP Downloader. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in, and Include PDFs must be enabled for PDF reading to count toward your goal.

Do imported Tenhawk Presents EPUBs definitely count?

Apple’s documentation does not give a definite answer for EPUB files you import yourself. Read the imported story for a minute or two, then check whether today’s reading time has increased.

Why is my PDF reading missing from my goal?

Check that Include PDFs is enabled in the Books settings. On current iOS versions, open Settings, choose Apps, and then Books. On older versions, open Settings and choose Books.
