Do Library of Moria Stories Count Toward Apple Books Reading Goals?

Apple Books can open a downloaded Library of Moria story, but Apple does not clearly document whether imported EPUB files add to your Reading Goals. To check, import the story, read for a minute or two, and see whether today’s reading time increases. PDFs count only when Include PDFs is turned on.

Download a Library of Moria story

Add the story to Apple Books on iPhone or iPad

After WP Downloader creates the book:

Open the EPUB or PDF from the Files app or Safari’s downloads.
Tap Share.
Choose Books.

Apple Books imports the file and adds it to your Library. If Books does not appear immediately in the Share menu, check the other available sharing options.

Add the story to Apple Books on Mac

Open the Books app and drag the downloaded EPUB into it. You can also choose File, then Add to Library, and select the file.

The imported story will appear in your Library. Apple Books on Mac can open both EPUB and PDF files.

How Apple Books Reading Goals work

Reading Goals track how many minutes you read each day and how many books and audiobooks you finish each year. The default daily goal is five minutes.

On an iPhone or iPad, you can change the daily goal from the Reading Now tab. On a Mac, you can change it from Home.

Apple provides a setting for including PDFs in Reading Goals. Its documentation does not say whether EPUB files imported from elsewhere count toward daily reading time, so you will need to check on your device.

Check whether your imported EPUB counts

After adding the story:

Note today’s reading time in Apple Books.
Open the imported Library of Moria EPUB.
Read for one or two minutes.
Return to your Reading Goals.
Check whether today’s total has increased.

If the total increases, Apple Books is counting the imported EPUB with your current device and app setup. If it does not, the EPUB may not be adding to your daily reading time.

Make a Library of Moria PDF count

PDF reading counts toward your goal only when Include PDFs is enabled.

On a current version of iOS, open Settings, Apps, then Books and turn on Include PDFs. On older versions, open Settings, then Books. After turning it on, read the imported PDF briefly in Apple Books and check whether today’s reading time increases.

Include PDFs applies only to PDF files. It does not confirm whether an imported EPUB counts, so test the EPUB separately.

Do Library of Moria PDFs count?

They count when Include PDFs is enabled in the Books settings. After checking the setting, read the PDF briefly and review today’s total.

Can WP Downloader save one Library of Moria chapter?
