How to Back Up The Hookup Zone Stories

Authors and archive sites can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. WP Downloader lets you save a whole story from the Criminal Minds Fic Archive as an EPUB or PDF for personal reading. Download the story with WP Downloader

To save a copy:

4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the EPUB, or sign in with a free Discord account to choose PDF.
6. Save the file somewhere you can find it later.

For The Hookup Zone, WP Downloader saves the whole story. It does not download individual chapters or lists. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

You can also sign in with your account on the archive to download members-only stories that account can read. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Keep a personal backup

Move the downloaded file from your downloads folder to a folder where you keep saved fiction. If the filename will be difficult to recognize later, rename it with the story title.

You may also want to keep another personal copy on a different device or storage location. That way, replacing or losing access to one device will not leave you without the story.

WP Downloader does not update an existing EPUB when the author adds or edits chapters. Download the story again whenever you want a newer snapshot.

Keep downloaded copies for your own reading. Do not re-upload or share them.

Open the EPUB on a phone or tablet

Find the EPUB in your device’s downloads area and open it with your preferred EPUB reader. If the reader does not appear as an option, use the device’s share or open-with menu to send the file to that app.

Once you have added the EPUB to the reading app, you can read it without returning to the archive page. Keep the original file in your backup folder even if the app stores another copy.

For a fixed-page version, sign in with Discord to download the PDF and open it in a PDF reader.

Organize and read the story with calibre

calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use it to organize EPUB files, edit their metadata and covers, convert them to other formats, and read them in its e-book viewer.

To add a story:

1. Download the EPUB from WP Downloader.
2. Open calibre on your computer.
3. Select Add books.
4. Choose the downloaded EPUB.
5. Check the title, author, cover, and other metadata, then edit them if needed.

calibre’s e-book viewer includes a Read aloud feature. You can also connect an e-reader by USB and send the book from your calibre library.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. If your device needs another format, calibre can convert the EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, or PDF.
