How to Back Up MTT Just Once Stories

Authors and archive sites can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. If you want to reread an MTT Just Once story later, you can use WP Downloader to save a personal EPUB or PDF copy while it is available. The file is a snapshot of the story at the time you download it.

Download an MTT Just Once story

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install. You do not need an MTT Just Once account.

1. Open the MTT Just Once downloader.
2. Copy the story’s MTT Just Once URL. It should look similar to this:

EPUB puts the complete story in one e-book file and works with calibre. It is available without signing in to WP Downloader.

PDF is available if you prefer that format, but it requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. If you need another e-book format, calibre can convert the EPUB.

Organize your downloaded stories

Keep your MTT Just Once downloads together and use clear filenames so you can find each story again.

An EPUB does not update when the author adds chapters or revises the story. Download the story again whenever you want a newer copy. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Add the EPUB to calibre

calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

1. Open calibre.
2. Select “Add books.”
3. Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
4. Check the title, author information, and cover.
5. Edit the metadata or cover if needed.

You can read the story in calibre’s e-book viewer, which includes a “Read aloud” feature. calibre can also convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF and send books to a connected e-reader over USB.

Move the story to your reading device
