How to add Stories of Arda stories to calibre
To add a Stories of Arda story to calibre, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and add the file to your calibre library. You can then edit its metadata or cover, read it on your computer, convert it to another format, or send it to an e-reader.
Download the story as an EPUB
WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install. You do not need to sign in to download a complete Stories of Arda story.
Find the story’s chapter list page on storiesofarda.com. Its address should follow this pattern:

Add the EPUB to calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Open calibre and select Add books. Find the EPUB you downloaded with WP Downloader, select it, and add it to your library. The story will appear alongside your other calibre books.
The EPUB remains a standard e-book file. calibre lets you organize it, read it, convert it, and transfer it to a connected e-reader.
Edit the metadata and cover
Select the story in your calibre library and open the metadata editor. You can change its metadata or cover to control how the book appears in your library and on your e-reader.
If you want the converted or transferred copy to use your changes, edit the metadata and cover before converting or sending the book.
Read or listen in calibre
Open the EPUB in calibre’s e-book viewer to read it on your computer.
The viewer also has a Read aloud feature, which lets you listen to the story without converting the EPUB to another file type.
Convert the EPUB
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. If you need another e-book format, add the EPUB to calibre and use its conversion tools.
calibre can convert the EPUB to formats such as:
- AZW3
- MOBI
Keep the EPUB as your source copy if you may need to convert the story again. Choose an output format that your device or reading app supports.
Send the story by USB
Connect your e-reader to the computer with a USB cable and wait for calibre to recognize it. Select the Stories of Arda book in your library, then use calibre’s option to send it to the connected device.

Download new chapters
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you have already downloaded. When a story gets new chapters, return to the downloader, paste the same Stories of Arda link, and download the whole story again.
Add the new EPUB to calibre. Editing the older file in calibre will not fetch chapters from Stories of Arda.

Can I download only one chapter?
